I've been thinking about character a lot these past several days. I really love this entry because it shows what a fine person you are. Probably your parents don't read H13, but really, they would be proud.
My favorite lines are "mean what you say, say what you mean" and "Truth is always best". My step-daughter is continuously lying and exaggerating and it is so wearisome. I think that when a person lies usually something about their voice or body language gives away the fact that they are lying. I think that good people want to believe others. It is sad to remind yourself, "This person lies and exaggerates, everything they assert is suspect." It creates distance and isolation.
I like to be taken seriously. Everything you wrote outlines the type of person who it is a pleasure to work with, and a pleasure to respect and take seriously.
